FOUNDER BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Kasaini graduated with a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering at Kyushu University in 2000. He was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL in 2003. In 2005, He was invited to be a Visiting Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Chemical Engineering. During this time, he was also appointed as a Professor of Chemical Engineering in South Africa from 2005 to 2012. Dr. Kasaini later worked as an R&D Manager at Areva Corporation, a Public Nuclear Energy Company, located in Paris. Here, he gained experience in the separation of radioactive trace elements from leach solutions and recovery of Rare Earths. This experience helped to file a US Patent on sequestration of radioactive elements from Rare Earths in Wyoming Deposits. Subsequently, Dr. Kasaini was hired by Rare Element Resources Inc., a U.S. based mining and exploration company, as the Director of Science and Technology. He oversaw the rare earth process development and was one of the drivers of prefeasibility study for an entire Mining Project in Wyoming. Dr. Kasaini has generated 10 patents and patent-pending technologies in the field of rare earth extraction, separation, and refining. He has published more than 30 journal papers and co-authored more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed and popular journals.

Dr. Henry Wells Kasaini
